Fair questions
Do prices include VAT?
No — all monthly fees and the per-SMS rate are before VAT. VAT is added at checkout according to Ethiopian tax regulations.
What counts as one message?
One SMS of up to 160 GSM characters sent to one recipient. Longer texts are split into multiple message parts and billed per part.
How do custom sender names work?
A custom sender name shows your brand (e.g. YOURBRAND) instead of a phone number. Sender names are registered through your dashboard and are subject to operator approval.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Yes. Plans are monthly — you can move between packages as your volume grows, or start on Pay-as-You-Go and switch to a subscription when it pays off.
When is Pay-as-You-Go the better deal?
When your sending is occasional or seasonal — events, campaigns, announcements. You pay per processed message with no monthly fee. Regular senders usually save with a subscription.
Is the API included on every plan?
Yes. Every plan — including the free Explorer tier and Pay-as-You-Go — includes API access and OTP send & verify.
